Pre-Arrival Information

Transfer Alive! new student orientation is right around the corner, and we look forward to meeting you! Listed below are a few reminders as you prepare for your trip to Pullman.

ORIENTATION REMINDERS:

  • To see if you have a balance due, to pay all or part of your balance with a VISA or MasterCard, or to check your guest count, please log in to the orientation reservation system.
  • Please check-in between 7 & 9 a.m. on March 26, 2017 in the Compton Union Building (CUB) Junior Ballroom. 
  • We do not provide housing accommodations for students or parent(s)/guest(s) during the April session of Transfer Alive!.

MUST COMPLETE BEFORE ORIENTATION:

Writing Placement Exam

Transfer students who have not received college credit for English 101 must take the WSU Writing Placement exam before or during Transfer Alive!. For more information visit: writingprogram.wsu.edu/writing-placement/.

Math Placement Exam

Transfer students who have not yet taken and passed a college-level math course must take the WSU Math Placement exam through "ALEKS" before attending Transfer Alive!. For more information, visit www.math.wsu.edu/placement/.

Print Transfer Alive! Parking Permit

Parking permits: The Sunday parking permit will allow you to park in any Green, Yellow, Red or Blue lot. The Monday permit will only allow you to park in the Red 2 lot behind the Indoor Practice Facility. Please make sure the correct permit is displayed on dash, and see the map for directions. To obtain your parking permits, please visit the event parking website and follow these steps:

  • Under WSU Active Directory, enter your Network ID and Password
  • Under Permits, Click "Order An RV or Event Permit" and agree to Terms of Service
  • Select the Transfer Alive! 2017 permit, click "Next" and follow the prompts to input license plate information and print your permit.

WHAT TO BRING:

  1. Transfer Information: WSU's registration system, myWSU, checks course pre-requisites. Please make sure you bring a copy of all transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) and a print out of your current class schedule to your advising appointment. Handwritten or home-typed schedules will not suffice. Schedules must be printed from your current (or past) institution's registration system. If you have questions, please call ASCC at 509-335-6000.
  2. Photo ID and WSU ID number
  3. Measles immunization documentation (if you have not already mailed it in)

Transfer Alive! ends at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017.
All students must attend the entire orientation program in order to register for classes at the end of the session.
