Transfer Alive! Fees

Student Matriculation Fee: $230

All new students will be assessed a one-time Student Matriculation Fee. The Matriculation Fee covers services and programs for new students including orientation/registration programs, Week of Welcome activities, and extended orientation events.  Also included during each orientation program are meals, give-away items (such as t-shirts and pens), university publications, and parking permits for the duration of the program.    

Parents and Guests: $125

The parent/guest fee for the programs is $125. This fee covers meals, a parking permit, university publications received during the program, workshop presentations, staffing, and other program costs.

SIBLINGS:  While we do not encourage younger siblings or children to attend the Transfer Alive! orientation program, we understand certain circumstances may require children to attend.

Siblings (ages 0-5)            No charge
Siblings (ages 6-12)          $70 
Siblings (ages 13-17)        $125

Change of Session Fee:

You can change the session you are registered for as long as there is still room in the requested session.  Please note the parent/guest fee for all other orientation programs is $140 (w/out housing) or $195 (w/housing). Changes can be made by calling the Office of New Student Programs at 509-335-4242.  A $10 change fee will be assessed each time you change your orientation session. 

Refunds and Cancellations:

For a FULL REFUND, you must call to cancel your reservation at least 5 business days prior to the start of the orientation program you were registered for.

You will receive a PARTIAL REFUND, after the 5 business day deadline.  A $70.00 administrative fee will be assessed against your refund total.

NO refund will be given if you do not call to cancel your reservation or if you cancel the day of the start of your program.

Payment Options:

New Student Programs accepts VISA or MasterCard via our online reservation system.  

Checks or Money Orders should include the WSU Student ID number.

Bill Your Student Account:

  • If you would like New Student Programs to bill your student account, download and complete the reservation form.  You can mail, fax, or scan the form to our office.
  • Your Student Matriculation Fee will be charged to your student account at the beginning of the fall semester.
  • Parent/Guest reservation fees cannot be deferred to the students account and can be paid at check-in.
